Bible Text: Philippians 4:4

"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.”

Reflection ; Joy that doesn't look at Circumstances 

True joy comes from knowing God and trusting Him regardless of circumstances. Apostle Paul wrote the Book of Philippians while he was in prison. Even though he was facing hardship, he encouraged believers to rejoice always.

This teaches an important lesson: Joy is not based on a perfect situation, yet many people still believe they can only rejoice when things go on smoothly with them, when they achieve their long term goal, when or when problems disappear.

Biblical joy is deeper than temporary happiness.

A believer can still have joy during challenges because joy is rooted in faith and confidence in God and the enemy will go through any length to attack believers with

Fear, discouragement

Worry, negative thoughts, etc, because he wants believers to focus only on problems instead of God’s faithfulness.

Joy grows when believers focus more on God than on situations., which means Joy is not controlled by circumstances.

Faith strengthens joy, while  negative thinking weakens joy.

No matter the circumstances you find yourself remember God remains faithful in every season and his never too late to arrive neither does he appear before time.

Prayer:

Father, teach me to rejoice regardless of circumstances and strengthen my faith in Jesus Name
