Text: Psalm 16:11
“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

Reflection : Understanding “Joy That Doesn’t Fade”

Joy that doesn’t fade is not the kind of happiness that depends on circumstances, achievements, or temporary relief from stress. It is deeper than emotional excitement and stronger than seasonal cheer. It is a steady inner reality that remains even when life is uncertain.
Unlike happiness, which can disappear when situations change, this joy remains because it is rooted in something unchanging—God’s presence. It is not produced by what we have, but by who is with us. That is why David describes it as “fulness of joy” in God’s presence.
This kind of joy does not deny pain or difficulty. Instead, it coexists with trials but is not destroyed by them. It is the quiet confidence that God is still near, still good, and still guiding.

Reflection: Holiness is often misunderstood. Many people hear the word and think of strict rules, constant correction, or a list of “do’s and don’ts. Scripture reveals something far more relational. God does not call us to holiness to restrict us,He calls us to holiness to claim us. In Leviticus 20:26, God says, “You shall be holy unto Me.” Notice the direction of the holiness. Holiness is not about people, it is about belonging to God.
