Topic : Power To Live Right - Say No To Sin and Yes To Purpose
Text :Genesis 39:7-12 NLT
[7]"and Potiphar’s wife soon began to look at him lustfully. “Come and sleep with me,” she demanded. [8] But Joseph refused. “Look,” he told her, “my master trusts me with everything in his entire household. [9] No one here has more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.” [10] She kept putting pressure on Joseph day after day, but he refused to sleep with her, and he kept out of her way as much as possible. [11] One day, however, no one else was around when he went in to do his work. [12] She came and grabbed him by his cloak, demanding, “Come on, sleep with me!” Joseph tore himself away, but he left his cloak in her hand as he ran from the house."

Reflection:
Joseph's life is a practical example of someone that wasn't swayed and it teaches us that true righteousness is revealed when nobody is watching. As a young man, Joseph was tempted by Potiphar's wife and he could have hidden his sin because there was no one around to see him. Yet he chose to honor God.
Joseph's response was remarkable: "How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?" His concern was not about getting caught; it was about grieving God.

Nowadays many people live differently in public and in private. However, God's presence is with us everywhere and Joseph understood this truth. Because he valued God's presence more than temporary pleasure, he was able to resist temptation.
Living right sometimes requires sacrifice. Joseph lost his position and freedom for a season, but he kept his integrity and aligned with his purpose.

Eventually, God elevated him to become a ruler in Egypt. Your future is worth more than a moment of compromise. Every time you choose obedience, you are saying yes to God's purpose for your life.

Keynote :
Are you the same person in private as you are in public?

Father, help me to honor You even when no one is watching in Jesus Name
