Text: Matthew 5:16
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Reflection: Shine Your Light.
Light is an essential element in heaven and on earth. It reveals whatever has been covered by darkness; it gives our eyes the ability to see. In other words, the earth is full of light because of the children of light. 

Our light is our good works. These includes good character, faithfulness, preaching the gospel, healing the sick, charity, demonstrating the power of God etc. When people see these or benefit from them, they will surely glorify the Father in heaven.

Reflection: Holiness is often misunderstood. Many people hear the word and think of strict rules, constant correction, or a list of “do’s and don’ts. Scripture reveals something far more relational. God does not call us to holiness to restrict us,He calls us to holiness to claim us. In Leviticus 20:26, God says, “You shall be holy unto Me.” Notice the direction of the holiness. Holiness is not about people, it is about belonging to God.
