Topic: Bold Faith, No Shame  - Not Ashamed of the Gospel
Bible Text: Romans 1:16
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

Reflection: Not Ashamed of the Gospel.
As we begin a new week, God shifts our focus from receiving boldness to living it out. Bold faith is not something we keep hidden within the walls of a church; it is meant to be seen in the way we live, speak, and represent Christ every day.

The Apostle Paul boldly declared, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ." These were not empty words. Paul endured imprisonment, rejection, persecution, beatings, and hardship because of his faith in Jesus. Yet, none of these experiences caused him to deny the gospel or remain silent. He understood that the message of Christ was too powerful and too valuable to be hidden.

GToday, being ashamed of the gospel may not always mean denying Jesus with our words. Sometimes it is much more subtle. It happens when we are afraid to identify ourselves as Christians because of what others may think. It happens when we remain silent instead of speaking the truth in love. It happens when we compromise our values just to fit in with the crowd.

The world is constantly trying to shape our beliefs and influence our choices. We are encouraged to accept what God calls sin and remain silent about what His Word teaches. But as followers of Christ, we are called to live differently. Our identity is not determined by the culture around us but by the Christ who lives within us.

Being unashamed of the gospel does not mean forcing our beliefs on others or arguing with everyone who disagrees with us. Instead, it means living in such a way that our words, attitudes, and actions reflect the character of Jesus. It means speaking the truth with humility, showing love even when we are misunderstood, and standing firm without becoming harsh or defensive.

The gospel is still the power of God. It changes hearts, restores broken lives, gives hope to the hopeless, and offers salvation to everyone who believes. If we truly believe this, then we should never be embarrassed to identify with Christ.

Today, ask yourself this question: if someone observed my life, would they know that I belong to Jesus? Our greatest testimony is not only what we say but also how we live.

May we never allow the fear of people's opinions to become greater than our love for Christ. Let us be believers who are known not just for attending church but for living lives that honour the One we profess to follow.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me never to be ashamed of the gospel. Give me the courage to live for You openly, love others sincerely, and remain faithful to Your truth in every situation. In Jesus name.
