Topic: Growing Deeper in His Presence - God's Presence
Text:Exodus 33:15
"And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence."

Reflection 
There are times in our world today where we become so focused on where we are going that we forget the importance of who is going with us and we become so excited about opportunities, answered prayers, new beginnings, achievements, and the future, but in the middle of pursuing these things, we can lose the sight of God's presence.

During the time of Moses he understood something that is easy to overlook: which is a destination that is not worth reaching if God is not there with us.
Israel had experienced God's mighty power, and Moses was faced with the responsibility of leading them forward. He could have focused on the promised land and everything they were going to receive, instead, his greatest concern was God's presence.

What a powerful statement.
Moses was saying, "Lord, I don't want to move simply because there is somewhere to go. I want to know that You are going with me."
God wants to bless His children, but His greatest desire is relationship. He does not want us to become so occupied with what He has placed in our hands that we forget the One who placed it there.

Key Point: 
Am I more focused on what I want God to give me, or on growing closer to God Himself?

Prayer:
Father, help me never to become so distracted by your blessings that I forget your presence.

Reflection: Holiness is often misunderstood. Many people hear the word and think of strict rules, constant correction, or a list of “do’s and don’ts. Scripture reveals something far more relational. God does not call us to holiness to restrict us,He calls us to holiness to claim us. In Leviticus 20:26, God says, “You shall be holy unto Me.” Notice the direction of the holiness.
