Topic : Living as Light in a Dark World - Continue To Burn
Text: 2 Timothy 1:6–7 
“Stir up the gift of God, which is in thee...” 
2 Timothy 1:6

Reflection: 
A fire does not remain strong simply because it was once burning brightly. It must be continually maintained. In the same way, our walk with God requires intentional attention. There are many things that can gradually cause our spiritual light to become dim. 

Constant distractions, unhealthy relationships, disappointment, unresolved offences, compromise, spiritual laziness, and neglect of God's Word can slowly affect our passion for God.

Usually, spiritual decline does not happen suddenly. It can begin with small things: “I'll pray later.” “I'll read my Bible tomorrow.” “This isn't really that serious.” Over time, these choices can create distance between us and God.

That is why we must pay attention to our spiritual condition.
And if you have fallen into sin, don't allow shame to keep you away from God. Run toward Him, not away from Him. Confession and repentance are part of walking in the light. Your light may feel weak today, but weak does not mean finished.

You don't have to recreate yesterday's experience. Begin again with God today. Your responsibility is to keep returning to the Source of your light and allow Him to strengthen you.

Father, renew my hunger for you and restore every area of my spiritual life that has become weak in Jesus name

Reflection: Holiness is often misunderstood. Many people hear the word and think of strict rules, constant correction, or a list of “do’s and don’ts. Scripture reveals something far more relational.
