Topic : Living as Light in a Dark World - Let Your Light Point to Christ
Text: John 3:30
"He must increase, but I must decrease."

Reflection:
One of the greatest dangers of shining is forgetting where the light comes from.
Jesus told His followers to let their light shine so that people would see their good works and glorify God. This means our lives are not meant to make us the centre of attention, Christ is.

It is possible to serve God and still become more concerned about recognition than obedience. We may want people to notice our sacrifices, praise our spirituality, admire our gifts, or acknowledge how much we do for others. This does not mean that we should have low self-worth or refuse to acknowledge the gifts God has given us. Rather, it means we recognise that our gifts, opportunities, achievements, and influence ultimately come from God.

The brighter our light becomes, the more clearly it should reveal Christ not ourselves. Let your character, gifts, service, and influence become signposts that point people to Him.
Your life is a testimony, but Jesus is the message.

Key Point:
When people see the good things God is doing through my life, does my response point them toward Christ?

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, keep my heart humble. Let my life, gifts, and good works point people to You rather than to myself.

Reflection: Holiness is often misunderstood. Many people hear the word and think of strict rules, constant correction, or a list of “do’s and don’ts. Scripture reveals something far more relational. God does not call us to holiness to restrict us,He calls us to holiness to claim us. In Leviticus 20:26, God says, “You shall be holy unto Me.” Notice the direction of the holiness. Holiness is not about people, it is about belonging to God.
