Topic : Living as Light in a Dark World - Path Finder
Text : Matthew 5:14-16
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Reflection: 
Light does more than make things visible; it helps people find their way and this makes it one of the reason Jesus calls His followers the light of the world.

There may be people around you who are confused, discouraged, hurting, or searching for direction. They may not know what to do or where to turn. God can use the way you live to give them a glimpse of His goodness and point them toward Him.These things may seem small, but they can leave a lasting impression.

However, we must remember that we are not the destination, we are just the signpost. Our lives should not make people depend on us instead of God. Rather, our actions should create opportunities for people to see the character of Christ.

Ask God to make your life a faithful representation of Him. You may never know how many people have been encouraged by your example. So keep shining.

Reflection: Holiness is often misunderstood. Many people hear the word and think of strict rules, constant correction, or a list of “do’s and don’ts. Scripture reveals something far more relational. God does not call us to holiness to restrict us,He calls us to holiness to claim us. In Leviticus 20:26, God says, “You shall be holy unto Me.” Notice the direction of the holiness. Holiness is not about people, it is about belonging to God.
