Topic: Fruitful in Every Good Work - Christ, the Source of Our Fruitfulness
Text: John 15:4–5 
"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me."

Reflection
God desires our lives to be fruitful, it is important to understand where this fruitfulness comes from. Spiritual fruitfulness is not something we produce through human effort alone; it comes from our connection to Christ.

Jesus used the relationship between a vine and its branches to explain this truth. A branch cannot produce fruit independently because its life and nourishment come from the vine. Once disconnected, it loses its ability to produce fruit. In the same way, our ability to live a life that pleases God depends on our relationship with Christ.

To abide in Christ means to remain in fellowship with Him, depend on His Word, and allow His teachings to influence our daily lives. It is more than attending church or engaging in religious activities; it is a continuous relationship that shapes our thoughts, attitudes, choices, and actions.

Sometimes, we try to achieve spiritual growth through personal effort while neglecting the very relationship that produces it. We cannot consistently demonstrate the nature of Christ if we are not continually drawing from Him.

The more we remain connected to Christ and yield to the Holy Spirit, the more His nature becomes evident in our lives. Fruitfulness, therefore, begins with our connection to the source, not merely our desire to produce results.

Key Point: 
Our fruitfulness is sustained by our connection to Christ, not by human effort alone.

Prayer: 
Father, help me remain deeply connected to you, let your word shape my life, and your spirit produces in me the fruit that pleases You. Amen.
